Part time Sous Chef for the Comfort Enfield, Marco de Sousa Moniz, has just been awarded by the enviromental health officers a 5 star billing as part of the 'scores for doors' initiative at his 'day time job' at the Haven Health Centre.
Working Monday to Friday lunchtimes at Tottenham's Haven Day Centre as Head Chef & evenings as Sous Chef at the hotel keeps Marco on his toes with his kitchens food preperation, latest menu's & health & hygine. He quotes 'I like creating my own menu's, people who come to the Haven are from a range of cultures, giving me the chance to cook in different styles. I like to ask my clients what they like to eat, giving me fresh ideas for a new & exciting meals.'
The Centre provides help & support & organises activities for people aged 65 & over who suffer from phyisical disabilities & sensory impairment for up to 25 people visit the centre each day. The meals have to be nutritional & meet the clients dietry needs including problems swallowing solid food. Marco likes to preper dishes from countries far & wide such as India, the Carribean, Portugal, Italy & more to keep his fan base happy!
So now aswell as having a variety of different tastes, his clients can be assured his kitchen is top notch!!!
